SENSIT Technologies Announces Acquisition by Halma | Feb 3, 2020

Valparaiso, Indiana – SENSIT Technologies, with headquarters in Valparaiso, Indiana, announced today that the company has been acquired by Halma, a UK based company.

SENSIT Technologies designs, manufactures and services a complete line of gas leak detection instruments serving Natural Gas, Fire Service and Industrial markets. Halma (LON:HLMA) was named one of Britain’s most admired companies in 2019 and is the market leader in the safety, health and environmental technology sector.

“We are very happy to join Halma. This positions SENSIT for long-term growth and allows us to continue to invest in our people and technology to serve our customers,” said Scott Kleppe, SENSIT’s CEO. “Halma’s core values match SENSIT very well. We are passionate about making the world safer and the environment cleaner while keeping our family atmosphere and values.”

The acquisition will not interfere with day-to-day operations. “Customers will continue to conduct business with SENSIT as they have in the past,” said Scott Kranstuber, SENSIT’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our industry leading portfolio of products will continue to be marketed through our existing sales channels at the same high quality and service level.”

SENSIT Technologies will be positioned within Halma’s Process Safety group of companies. Process Safety’s technologies protect people and assets at work across a range of critical industrial and logistics operations.

Andrew Williams, Group Chief Executive at Halma commented, “SENSIT enhances Halma’s gas detection capabilities, with its strong market position and technological capabilities in the natural gas leak detection market. Its growth is supported by tightening safety and environmental standards, which protect communities and workers from hazards, and minimize climate change impacts. We look forward to working with its management team and continuing its strong track record of growth supported by Halma’s strategic Growth Enablers.”
